Below is an exact copy of my TOS. I will send you the PDF version once an agreement has been made but I make this public so that people can at least see what they are signing up for.
-Terms of Service
Seller: Patricia Weeks (Aviet)
Quotes and Concept Art
● All quotes are final and will not be negotiated if you decide to accept the commission slot.
● Deposits are nonrefundable.
● Concept art MUST be presented. If concept art is not available, I can make one for about 30 USD. Artistic liberty concepts are free.
Billing Structure (updated on December 6, 2017)
● The other 50% is split up into only a few categories ranging between the project wage per time taken for the project as well as any extras that may need to be bought and insurance on the suit itself.
● The overall price does not include the shipping costs which will be determined at the time of completion. The client will provide the cost of shipping and should use through means of paypal or money order. Other payment methods are to be discussed prior.
● If any defects are found on the suit or there are things that need fixing over time, please feel free to send the suit back to be stitched up as long as the client has not made any modifications to the suit themselves. Shipping is paid for by the client once more, but the work to fix the suit and even clean it up will be free of charge.
Late Payment
● Payments may be made by the client if the the full amount is not paid at the beginning of the project.
● Payment plans will depend primarily on a Maker-Client agreement. It can range from a large payment every few months or small payments every month or week. Inquire about payment plans for further information.
● There is a grace period of 30 days before the next payment whatever the plan. You can either pay both payments at the end of the grace period or pay the payment in halves throughout the month to catch up. I understand life can get a little hellish sometimes.
Interim Charge Caps
● What this means is that there is a charge cap for all clients.
For example:
● A client has a 1500 USD fursuit in the making and decided they want another tail made for 50 USD. Then they want a ref sheet made for 15 USD and after that something else. Basically, they keep racking up debt, but haven't made their payment yet. They were given a 1700 USD cap to how much debt they can accumulate with the maker based around the price of their suit. This means they have to pay the money they've gone over for the cap as soon as it happens or forget about one of the things commissioned. ● Most clients caps will be based around the price of their fursuit.
Scheduling
● There is no definite scheduling for what we do. It's based primarily around free time during the school week, holidays and normal work hours.
● Contact is possible through several ways and I will be able to get back to you as soon as possible depending on the day and events.
No spec work allowed
● Basically means no work is done for free.
Termination of Services by Client
● If something happens where the client is unhappy with the WIP of the costume or something happens where they need to cancel the project, a minimum payment is required. Depending on the stage of the work, their payments will not be returned. The maker will accept the final payment and have right to finish the suit and sell it in an auction.
Ownership Rights
● The character still is copyrighted and owned by the original client unless the costume was a premade by the creator.
● The work itself is copyrighted to the fursuit maker, but is owned by the final payment by the client.
● Modifications are allowed, but the maker will not fix any issues on the suit once modifications have been made to it without a hefty price.
● The suit is allowed to be used for costuming purposes and nonsexual interaction anyway the client sees fit.
Unforeseen or sudden termination of a project
● If anything happens where the current maker can no longer finish a project, another maker might take over the project for a discounted price or all but 25% of the money will be returned as well as the unfinished suit.
Misc.
● The expected suit completion rate can be anywhere from 1-4 months depending on what time of year it is and if i'm working a second job.
● Progress photos are sent as soon as progress is made and are sent often. There may be breaks in production due to everyday life, but if you are worried, feel free to bump me for updates.
● Communication can be made through twitter, facebook, email, and on rare occasions text.
● Returns are not accepted unless the suit has something extremely wrong with it. It will have to be sent back within 3 days after receiving it. It must be in the same condition that it was shipped out in.
● Character design changes does not warrant any extra work to be done on the suit without extra charge.
Liability
● Please be aware that wearing a fursuit is taxing on the body. There are chances of overheating, dehydration, back pain, etc.
● I am not liable for any medical issues that arise from the suit.
Resale
● If the owner decides to resell the suit, they must abide by resale guidelines.
● Do not resell it if it has been sexually used in any way.
● There is a resale cap of only 400 more than you originally paid for the suit. Don’t cheat people out of their money with double the price you paid for the suit.
Warranty
● Each suit has a warranty of up to 1 year. Any issues that arise in that time due to normal wear and tear or a mistake I have made will be fixed without charge.
● The customer will only have to pay shipping for the piece that needs a refurbishment.
● If the suit is being abused or not taken care of properly, I will not be expected to fix those issues.
○ This includes washing it incorrectly, mud romping, and wearing it in unfriendly suit environments that damage the product.
● If the suit has been used for sexual interaction or smoked in, I WILL NOT work on it. The warranty will be voided.
● Any modifications to the suit by anybody but me will void the warranty.

- 30% is to be put down to lock your quote in so as my prices change as I grow as a maker/seller, your quote price stays the same.
- 50% down is how much it takes to be placed at the end of my queue. I need this amount to prepare my workspace for your character and order the materials ahead of time, talk further details/deadlines.
- 100% has to be paid down before I start the creation progress. This is to create an even ground so that nobody is late on payments or can not pay in time. I may be slightly lenient on this rule and start work at 80-90% if nobody else has paid their full balance but this is to protect me as a maker who is getting paid for these items as their main job.
● The other 50% is split up into only a few categories ranging between the project wage per time taken for the project as well as any extras that may need to be bought and insurance on the suit itself.
